Final Review

Students have been given final exam review handouts which summarize the main ideas of each chapter they are responsible for studying. I suggest they write answers to each item in their own words to ensure they understand the concepts and so when reviewing the night before the exam they can read their own work. Please help your child organize a study schedule over the next couple of weeks. Happy studying everyone!!!

World WAr 1 portfolio

Students are studying World War One. We are working on a portfolio of work for this unit. So far, students are responsible for making a creative list of ways to be patriotic, a propaganda poster designed to influence enlistment, and a trench letter written from the male perspective a night before a trench warfare battle. These items will be given time to be completed in class. Also, the portfolio folder should be designed with images displaying Newfoundland's invlovement in World War One. This can be pictures showing maps, weapons, soldiers etc. Students should be cautious not to fall behind and should work diligently in class to keep up with the assigned tasks.

WW1

Began WW1. Students are working on the first two items of their portfolio. They are asked to demonstrate their understanding of patriotism and propaganda. They are working on a propaganda poster and an illustrative list describing patriotism. They each have a folder kept in my class for this work.
